Golden Brewmaster House – Historic Stay

Our host effectively communicated with us and was welcoming. The property is the perfect location for enjoying all that Golden has to offer!! The key pad was extremely useful so that our family could come and go as they pleased. A suggestion would be to designate dedicated parking spots for the renters. Since it was peak season when we were there, the street filled up with other vehicles often. One other suggestion would be to give a little more attention to the front yard and curb appeal. Again this property was great for our family because it was the perfect location!!

The Brewmaster's House worked well for our party - 2 couples & 2 singles. The place was clean & the kitchen rather dated, but satisfactorily equipped for the minimal food prep we did. The host thoughtfully included video instructions for the downstairs shower, whose operation was simple but not evident. We wished for more bath towels, as 1/person is sub-standard. We appreciated the convenience of the washer/dryer & iron/ironing board, which we all used.Some unbeatable advantages of the location include free on-street parking & walking distance to the Golden Hotel, Golden Diner, Golden Mill, tubing, & shopping. Folks who wish to tour the nearby Coors brewery should reserve before your trip, maybe even months ahead. We had spectacular weather during our stay, & we had anticipated morning coffee & Happy Hour cocktails in the backyard, a major reason we chose this house over 3 hotel rooms. This turned out to be impossible & a pretty big disappointment - there is a massive commercial construction project across the street, which wasn't mentioned in the listing or apparent on map visuals. Constant noise from the machinery, beginning 8 AM, totally marred enjoyment of the yard, & disrupted sleep in the front bedroom. A quieter Sunday morning coffee in the yard was not to be had either; we were pre-empted by the lawn mower.I found the listing over-priced, especially considering the inconveniences. Potential renters might want to inquire about the construction before booking.

Super cute place, great location to downtown Golden-would stay there again! Kendra was ultra responsive with a few issues and she had them resolved quickly. Comfortable stay for 8 people, well stocked kitchen. Thank you for letting us stay there.
